there are many rules in photo composition, such as understanding the rule of thirds, not cutting off limbs, and filling in the frame or also known as cropping. there are more rules in this that all teach you about photo composition. cropping is when you do not have a good background, so you get closer to the main object you are trying to photograph so you are able to get a good, clear image.
